The last round will be 2026 Conwy Half Marathon in November 2026.

Rules

The Committee retain the right to change or alter the events counting towards the championships, the number of qualifying events per division or any other point, should this be necessary (e.g. such as if a race is cancelled). Notification will be given to members of any changes, along with the reason(s) behind this, where possible.

It is the responsibility of all members taking part to highlight to the Championship co-ordinator, via the club Facebook page or email, where there are any queries or missing results in sufficient time so as to allow them to be reviewed and amended as needed. This is especially crucial for marathon events.

Members are encouraged to ensure that their race entry details listed as Cybi Striders. This allows the results coordinators to compile accurate details by not missing your results.

If anyone is a member of multiple clubs, they should notify the results co-ordinators of their results by messaging the club Facebook account (or via email) so that they can be counted.

Entries must be in your own name to be eligible for championship points. Unofficial transfers (i.e. taking someone else’s entry without informing the organisers) are in contravention of Welsh Athletics rules. This may result in disciplinary action by Welsh Athletics and/or a ban from events for the athlete and will reflect poorly on the club (see Welsh Athletics website for more information).

Club kit is highly encouraged for all championship races, and is mandatory for those races falling under North Wales Cross Country, Borders League or any other inter-club competitions which require club kit to be worn.

For those events which qualify for North Wales Championships, members are strongly encouraged to wear club kit so as to represent the club (these events will be highlighted to members).

Exceptional circumstances to any of the above may be considered but would need highlighting to the Committee for discussion.

If any of the above changes, members will be notified via Spond or Facebook ahead of the relevant events.

Holyhead Breakwater Race

We arrange the annual Breakwater Race as part of the Holyhead Festival which is held annually at the end of July.

The race is 5 mile, out and back to the Lighthouse at the end of the Breakwater. Fun Fact, the Breakwater is 1.5 miles long and is the largest man made breakwater in the world

The race starts at 11:00, and usually with the firing of a cannon.
